Description: This feature class was created for the purpose of maintaining an inventory of signs for retroreflecvitiy purposes and to comply with Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) guidelines. The DPW Sign Division captures the sign information and maintains the original data found in SimpleSigns. This feature class is then occasionally updated by the staff in the GIS Divisionand DPW Sign Shop.1. 6,091 signs are mapped. Chris & Gordy are editing sign inspect layer and that layer is copy and pasted into this layer when they tell the GIS division.2. Beginning September 2024 an ordinance is not needed for stop signs. The City Engineer may approve the removal and installation of them.3. Parking signs require an ordinance. This ordinance may be found in the line type feature class named, ParkingRestriction.4. This point feature class is updated frequently by the sign shop.
