<idPurp>This polygon feature class may be used with ArcGIS applications. It is a soil survey containing information that can be used in land-planning programs in Marathon County and the City of Wausau. </idPurp>
<idAbs>&lt;DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;DIV&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Major fieldwork for this soil survey was completed in 1985. Soil names and descriptions were approved in 1986 and 1997. Soil Survey of Marathon County, Wisconsin, Parts I and II was published in 2003 and provides greater detail for this feature class. This feature class was clipped out from the county level feature class for improved software performance.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Fields Defined: MUSYM = Map Unit Symbol; MUNAME = Map Unit Name; PERM = PERMEABLE ( hybrid field created by Marathon County and NRCS to easily map soil types that are permeable); SLOPE = Slope Class&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</idAbs>
